Your primary role is to deliver high-quality compliance support and risk management to Group businesses in Singapore and to direct and oversee all local regulatory compliance and risk management activities.
You will be responsible for providing strategic compliance advice to the local office and ensure the day-to-day compliance obligations are discharged in a timely and accurate manner.
Your New Role
This list of duties is not exhaustive and may change from time to time according to business needs:
- Understand and ensure all regulatory aspects are considered and applied when risk assessing and reviewing files in line with AML/CFT legislation, regulations, rules and guidance for the applicable jurisdiction
- Review and approve due diligence information and documentation to ensure compliance with Singapore anti-money laundering legislation, regulations and associated regulatory guidance
- Review transactions, periodic/ trigger event reviews and onboarding
- Disseminate MAS circulars and announcements
- Conduct compliance monitoring programme testing
- Assist with review of policies and procedures
- Assist with the completion of compliance reports, updating internal systems with relevant data and assisting with ad hoc regulatory projects if required
- Act as the backup operational relationship lead with the MAS and other relevant external authorities and stakeholders
- Promote and ensure appropriate observations for the three lines of defense model
- Provide timely and accurate advice to the Singapore board/s and employees on compliance and risk matters
What will you need to succeed in this role?
As to be expected, we are searching for someone who can bring a range of skills and experiences to enhance the team. As such, there are a few essential skills we are looking for:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of AML legislation and regulations in the relevant jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the evidence required by the Regulator in terms of CDD, Source of Wealth/Funds
- Knowledge of Trust and Company administration, organisations’ structure
- Experience in risk identification, qualification and mitigation (desirable)
- Prior experience of working for a corporate and trust service provider (desirable)
- ICA/STEP/ICSA qualification or equivalent (desirable)
- Use of Navision and document management systems (desirable)
