You'll lead the business in executing and managing relationship exits. This role will involve managing a small book of client structures to exit the relationship and prepare reports on weekly progress.
Your New Role
This list of duties is not exhaustive and may change from time to time according to business needs:
- Oversee a small book of client structures to exit the relationships as directed outflow
- Responsible for the maintenance of relationship exits to ensure the data is accurate on the tracker is complete and up to date
- Prepare weekly statistics and forecasts for the exit progress, respond to any queries and questions
- Act as Business Lead and escalation contact for the Closure workstream
- Support client services team to ensure managed exit of relationships in workstream
- Arrange closures of various clients, including trusts, companies, foundations and partnerships. Closure may consist of liquidation/termination or transfer to another service provider
- Liaison with clients, advisors, accountants, newly appointed service providers and relevant Group departments to obtain or provide necessary information and documentation to enable the exit to proceed
- Ensure that all financial crime, regulatory, legal, fiduciary and operational matters are dealt with in accordance with agreed procedures and checklists
- Prepare all correspondence, minutes, resolutions and ancillary documents required to achieve the relationship exit
- Liaison with lawyers, where required, in respect of the drafting of documentation including overseas legal firms authorised to provide legal advice in the relevant jurisdiction. Keep in-house legal team informed of new engagements and situations where external legal counsel is not engaged
- Request any database updates, NAVone, to the Data Officer/ Statutory team
- Review current processes and suggest improvement ideas
- Escalate matters to Compliance, or local management, as required
- Arrange the proper transfer of title of assets where the relationship exit constitutes a transfer to another service provider or distribution to a beneficiary or shareholder
- Responsible for completing own timesheet that invoices raised are settled in a timely manner and, where possible, before assets / cash are transferred
- Undertake any reasonable ad hoc tasks as may be required from time to time
What will you need to succeed in this role?
As to be expected, we are searching for someone who can bring a range of skills and experiences to enhance the team. As such, there are a few essential skills we are looking for:
- Management experience and team leadership
- Strong grasp of the local fiduciary business and industry
- In-depth knowledge of the local AML/CFT regulations and trustee/director responsibilities
- Have a good understanding of and an ability to review legal documents
- Understanding of the regulatory environment will be required to effectively discharge duties with minimal reference to other members of the team
- Maintain good business practices and excellent interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues and external providers
- Be achievement-focused with focus on tracking and measuring performance whilst maintaining brand and business values
- Understanding of NAVOne (desirable)
- General understanding of laws in other offshore jurisdictions to which customers may be exposed (desirable)
