We are looking for an experienced Client Director or Associate Director to lead the delivery of high quality fiduciary, trust and corporate administration services to a portfolio of high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals, families and family offices.
The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant and efficient administration of complex client structures, while acting as a trusted senior relationship lead for clients and intermediaries. You will oversee service delivery, manage risk and governance obligations and contribute to the commercial growth and operational effectiveness of the business.
Depending on experience and appointment level, the role includes acting as a director and/or authorised signatory on client entities, leading and developing teams, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to strategic and operational improvements across the service line.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Fiduciary Oversight
Lead the administration of complex trust, company and foundation structures
Act as a senior point of contact for clients and intermediaries, building long term trusted relationships
Act as a director or authorised signatory on client entities, exercising sound fiduciary judgement and governance awareness
Oversee onboarding, KYC/AML, client risk assessments and ongoing compliance
Maintain audit ready records and strong governance standards
Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, legal professionals and regulators
Leadership & Culture
Lead, mentor and develop managers and administrators, fostering a high performance and collaborative culture
Promote consistency, technical excellence and knowledge sharing across teams and jurisdictions
Act as a role model for Equiom’s values of integrity, professionalism and excellence
Growth & Commercial Contribution
Actively support client retention, relationship expansion and new business opportunities
Participate in pitches, proposals, fee reviews and onboarding of new mandates
Build and maintain strong professional networks with intermediaries and advisors
Collaborate across jurisdictions and service lines to support multi jurisdictional clients
Legal & Governance
Provide legal and fiduciary input on trusts, companies and wealth structuring
Draft and review fiduciary agreements, constitutional documents and related legal documentation
Support legal, regulatory and AML compliance, including higher risk jurisdictions
Manage or transition an existing client book where required
What will you need to succeed in this role?
As to be expected, we are searching for someone who can bring a range of skills and experiences to enhance the team. As such, there are a few essential skills we are looking for:
Essential
8–10+ years’ experience in fiduciary, private wealth, trust or corporate services
Proven experience acting as a director, authorised signatory or controlled function
Strong technical knowledge of trust, company and foundation structures
Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
Professional qualification (STEP, CGIUKI or equivalent)
Excellent client relationship and communication skills
Desirable
Experience with UHNW or family office structures
Legal background or experience providing legal advice within fiduciary services
Exposure to high risk jurisdictions or African based clients
Business development and commercial growth experience
Multilingual (English and French essential; additional language an advantage)
