We’re looking for a Senior Service Desk Engineer who thrives on delivering exceptional IT support, enjoys solving complex technical challenges and wants to play a key role in shaping a modern, secure and scalable technology environment.
You’ll be a trusted escalation point, a mentor to junior colleagues and a driving force behind continuous improvement across our Group wide IT services.
About the Role
As a Senior Service Desk Engineer, you’ll provide first and second line support across the Group, ensuring systems run smoothly, securely and efficiently. You’ll collaborate closely with the wider Technology team, contribute to key projects and help enhance the overall user experience for colleagues across our 12 locations.
We’re looking for someone proactive, customer focused and technically curious, with a passion for improving how technology supports the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Driving Growth & Innovation
Support the modernisation of Central IT systems to improve efficiency and scalability
Identify recurring issues and recommend long term solutions
Contribute to technology upgrades, system optimisation, and user adoption initiatives
Build technical expertise to support evolving infrastructure and business growth
Participate in projects including cloud migration, security enhancements and digital collaboration tools
Championing Culture & Collaboration
Deliver high quality, customer focused technical support
Promote collaboration, accountability and service excellence across the Technology team
Mentor and support junior colleagues
Communicate clearly and professionally with end users, managing expectations effectively
Act as an ambassador for our values through integrity, teamwork and responsiveness
Delivering with Excellence
Provide first and second line IT support across the Group
Configure, maintain and support user devices and core systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and Office 365
Act as the “eyes and ears on the ground” for local IT issues
Support onboarding, offboarding, patching and access management
Maintain accurate documentation and records in ServiceNow
Provide on call and out of hours support for business critical systems
Monitor and improve system availability and performance
What Success Looks Like
SLA and ticket resolution targets consistently met or exceeded
Reduced repeat incidents through proactive problem management
Positive feedback from users, VIPs and peers
Strong contribution to system and process improvements
Full compliance with IT security, audit and documentation standards
What You’ll Bring
Essential
Strong experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
Hands on knowledge of Azure, Intune and endpoint management
Excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and networking
Outstanding customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team
Desirable
ITIL Foundation certification
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Administration or Security & Mobility certifications
Experience with ServiceNow or similar service management tools
Windows Server administration experience
